Nathalie Avalo

Political Fellow

Nathalie Tina Avalo (she/her) is a Political Fellow with Voices for Progress. She is excited to provide research, writing, and administrative support to the Political department. A Queens, NYC native-she majored in English Literature at CUNY Queens College. Her writing delved into what most interested her: gender equity, class divide in urban spaces, and LGBT+ rights to name a few. Nathalie is passionate about social justice work and has volunteered and provided marketing support to several food justice organizations. She gained experience in event planning, recruiting internship partners, education administration, and digital marketing as Program Assistant to QC’s Gender Studies and Jewish Studies Programs.

You can find Nathalie taking dance classes, roller skating through Brooklyn Bridge Park, and experimenting with veganizing traditional Dominican dishes she grew up loving.
