Nick Becker (he/him) is the Lead Engagement Manager at Voices for Progress. Nick leads efforts to engage V4P members in advocacy and political programming and is dedicated to building a sense of community among the members. Previously, Nick worked for The City Clerk’s Office for the City of Santa Clara, CA, coordinating major elements of their award-winning voter and community engagement programs. He has a background working with various local community groups and elected officials, and completed a congressional internship in Washington, D.C. with former Congressman Mike Honda. Nick holds a B.A. in Political Science from San Jose State University. Among other issues, he is especially passionate about civic engagement and voting rights. Nick resides in Southern California with his wife Katie and son August, where he enjoys playing the guitar, reading science fiction, and spending time with family and friends.
